One of the rare species that you will be able to find in Phuket bird park is the grey African Crowned Crane. This bird is about 3.3 ft tall and has a wingspan of 6.5 ft. While their wings are mostly white, the rest of the body comes in a range of vibrant colors with a black patch on the top and a crown of stiff golden feathers on the head. African Crowned Crane is the only crane that can roost in trees and have long legs for walking on the grasses.

Timings: The Phuket Bird Park remains open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day. Do note that the last entry is at 3:00 PM. The Phuket Bird Park Show is held thrice a day at - 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM and the last show is scheduled at 3:30 PM.


Best Time To Visit: You can schedule to visit the park at its early opening hours as the weather is pleasant. Visiting in the early hours will give you more time as 2-3 hours required to visit the place, watch the shows and interact with the birds. Try to visit at a time which coincides with the timing of the bird show held at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
